  • No. The BonusDrive cash bonus is paid for by the participating auto manufacturers.

  • No. Any Nationwide member, someone with an insurance policy, or someone who has a Nationwide Financial product, is eligible for the BonusDrive program, assuming all terms and conditions are met. BonusDrive eligibility does not guarantee or affect eligibility for Nationwide insurance products.

  • Prospects (not a current Nationwide member) are not eligible for the program (unless they happen to be eligible through another company or group that partners with BonusDrive). However, if a prospect is exploring any Nationwide product, (insurance or financial services) and mentions that they recently purchased an eligible car, you may tell them about the BonusDrive program. To be eligible for BonusDrive, the car buyer does not have to be an auto insurance policyholder, but they do need to be a Nationwide member of some kind (e.g. a Nationwide retirement account holder would qualify).

  • Nationwide has several ways for customers to find out about the program including:

    • On the auto insurance page on Nationwide.com
    • Nationwide agents
    • The Nationwide.Bonusdrive.com website
    • An email to customers who have a marketable email address
    • Placement on the Nationwide.com member resource page
    • Social media posts on Nationwide owned channels
  • Nationwide is one of a select group of companies through which BonusDrive is currently offering this program.

  • The BonusDrive program is an incentive from the auto manufacturers designed to influence the buying process outside of the dealer transaction. It is in addition to whatever deal the purchaser negotiates with the dealer. While some dealers may be aware of the program, agents are encouraged to discuss the program with customers as a benefit that BonusDrive is providing to Nationwide customers and associates. The program is not intended for an agent to use in initiating a referral partnership with auto dealers or to be used in any joint marketing campaigns with a dealer. The ongoing availability of the BonusDrive program depends on the continued support of the auto manufacturers and it is important that the program be promoted as intended.

  • Fleet vehicles are vehicle purchases designed for businesses and corporations typically buying multiple vehicles. Through a fleet program, businesses and corporations already receive significant discounts and incentives from manufacturers, therefore the BonusDrive program is not applicable for fleet deals.

However, if a small business owner for instance purchases a vehicle for their company in his or her own name, they would be eligible for the program, assuming other terms and conditions are met

customers should ask the dealer if the purchase or lease is a fleet or retail vehicle.

  • Third party claimants are only eligible for BonusDrive with Nationwide if they are a Nationwide member of some kind (e.g. policyholder, owner of a financial services product). (They may be eligible through another company or group that partners with BonusDrive.)

  • onusDrive is open to Nationwide customers and associates. Agents, Agency staff and employees can be eligible if they are a Nationwide member of some kind (e.g. policyholder, customer, owner of a financial services product).

  • Yes. Nationwide pension plan participants are considered Nationwide customers. However, note that Nationwide may not have the ability to market the program directly to all Nationwide customers.
